Overview

Visual Analytics is the integration of interactive visualization with analysis techniques to answer a growing range of questions in science, business, and analysis. It can attack certain problems whose size, complexity, and need for closely coupled human and machine analysis may make them otherwise intractable. The Visual Analytics course encompasses topics in computer graphics, interaction, visualization, analytics, perception, and cognition. Graduates with interests and skills in visual analytics can expect an increasing number of job opportunities in government, industry, financial services, and other areas.

Who Should Take This Course?

Undergraduate and graduate students in science, engineering, business, mathematics, psychology, and other areas are welcome! Non-computer science majors will be accommodated. Visual analytics is highly interdisciplinary and different viewpoints are necessary.

Please feel free to contact the instructor if you have any questions!
